Central R.I. Chamber hosts food drive

WARWICK – The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce is once again running, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Warwick and Washington Trust, its annual April Food Drive to collect foods to distribute through Westbay Community Action Inc.’s Market Place.

For every food item or dollar donated through the drive, the Feinstein Foundation will donate $1.

On its own last year, Warwick Rotary collected more than 500 items. The Chamber said the organizations joined forces this year to maximize donations.

Food donations can be delivered to the Chamber in Warwick Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by April 27. Donations in cash or checks also are accepted. Donation pickups can be scheduled by calling (401) 732-1100.
