PROVIDENCE – The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce has launched an online tool to give members a more active role in advocacy efforts and a stronger voice during legislative decision-making.

The new tool, Capwiz, allows users to send personalized messages, to familiarize themselves with their elected officials through bio pages and links to key votes, bills and staff information, view important legislation, and send letters to the editors of local newspapers and magazines.

“The goal with this system is twofold,” according to the Chamber.

Capwiz enables the business community to promote a legislative agenda by delivering messages to members of the General Assembly and also serves as a way for the business community to be a resource to members of the General Assembly “as they tackle the important issues.”

The tool can be accessed through the state affairs link on the Chamber’s website.
