SEEKONK – Chick-fil-A will open its first restaurant in southeastern Massachusetts on the Rhode Island border, in a newly constructed restaurant at 1100 Fall River Ave.
The opening date is Feb. 23, according to a news release. The Atlanta-based restaurant chain identified Jonas Williams as the franchise owner of the Seekonk store. He expects to employ 90 full- and part-time workers at the restaurant, known for hand-breaded, fried-chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
The Seekonk store is the seventh for the Bay State.
In Rhode Island, the sole Chick-fil-A franchise is in Warwick on Bald Hill Road.
