Children’s Friend CEO on national commission

Posted 10/15/12

PROVIDENCE – David Caprio, president and CEO of Children’s Friend, has been appointed to the Child Welfare League of America’s National Commission for Public Policy.

Caprio, who directs his agency’s efforts providing child welfare, family support, mental health and child-development services, was chosen for experience in building his agency’s innovative, comprehensive support systems for vulnerable children and families.

The Child Welfare League of America is the oldest and largest membership-based child welfare organization in the United States, composed of nearly 800 private and public child-serving agencies from across the country.

“I am honored to be appointed to this commission,” said Caprio. “The [league] is a powerful and influential force in its field, committed to the health and well-being of children and their families.” •
