BankNewport recently provided a $5,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County to support their arts programming at Camp Grosvenor, the club’s youth summer camp in North Kingstown.
The camp’s arts program include courses in environmental education, farming, drama and dance along with arts and crafts programs that feature visiting artists specializing in ceramics, digital photography, painting and jewelry making.
“BankNewport takes great pride in its partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Camp Grosvenor to see firsthand the expansion of their performing and visual arts program,” said Jennifer Pratt, BankNewport vice president and Newport branch manager. “The projects available for the youth were certainly wide-ranging, and designed to explore their creativity and develop confidence in a fun, nurturing environment.” •
