Why did you select your profession?
I have been interested in government, public policy and political science as long as I can remember – I think I started watching Meet the Press when I was 12 years old.

Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?
Hopefully, I will have completed a graduate degree and will hold a senior executive position that makes optimal use of my knowledge of the federal budget and appropriations process.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Get a graduate degree early in your career. The longer you wait to do it, the harder it is to make time for it.

What is your favorite Rhode Island escape or hobby?
Riding the East Bay bike path and spending the day at Narragansett Town Beach.

What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?
If I could do it all over again, I would apply for Officer Candidate School for the Navy after graduating from college.
