PROVIDENCE – In an ongoing effort to augment its technological capabilities, Citizens Bank recently announced a new partnership with Opportunity Network, offering clients a business-to-business, deal-making platform.
The Providence bank, a subsidiary of Citizens Financial Group Inc., says the new platform is designed to connect business owners to a network of 13,500 CEOs and $35 billion of deal flow, according to a press release.
“Opportunity Network has an attractive value proposition for midsize businesses, and this collaboration gives us yet another way to help meet the needs of our customers at every stage of their life cycle,” said Steve Woods, head of corporate banking. “Partnering with Opportunity Network helps us address an important issue: the fact that many midsize businesses and private investors could benefit from expanded tools and networks of contacts to grow.”
The company says it’s the first United States bank to offer its clients access through the Opportunity Network platform, which customers could use to seek out partners to help them expand into new markets, sell products and execute mergers and acquisitions, according to the release.
