Citizens names Rand SVP, group director

Citizens Financial Group Inc. earlier this month announced Christopher Rand as senior vice president and Institutional Service Group director of Citizens Private Bank & Trust, where he is slated to help high-net worth customers.
Rand, with 28 years of experience, has a background in trust retirement services and benefits, according to a release. The Cheshire resident will be based in East Providence and will be tasked with helping to preserve and grow the wealth of high-net worth customers of Citizens Bank and Charter One.
“Our Private Bank and Trust team is dedicated to helping our clients preserve and grow their wealth by providing sound planning, investing, banking and borrowing advice,” said Tim Swanson, head of Citizens Private Bank & Trust.
Rand also has experience leading institutional investment management, escrow, custody and retirement planning services, according to the release. He most recently worked as the senior vice president of ING National Trust.
“Christopher brings a wealth of institutional investment management as well as sales and business development experience that will be instrumental to Citizens as we continue to grow our wealth management business and we are pleased to welcome him to the organization,” Swanson said.
