City firm pdsCommerce revamps website for Florida drinkware company

PROVIDENCE – pdsCommerce has launched a new direct-to-consumer site for Tervis, a Florida firm specializing in insulated drinkware.
The launch marks the completion of the first phase of the project, and it features a site re-design and re-platform onto a third-party cloud commerce solution.
The next phase involves the Tervis wholesale site, which will utilize the B2B Xcelerator from pdsCommerce to manage its matrix of pricing and item availability rules, according to pdsCommerce.
Internal e-commerce, creative and development teams at Tervis worked with strategic consulting and development teams at pdsCommerce on the B2C site.
Streamlined navigation and optimized on-site search and merchandising are some of the new features designed to better showcase the company’s portfolio of premium products and designs. The checkout experience also was simplified, according to pdsCommerce.
The “design your own” application, which allows consumers to customize their own Tervis tumblers by selecting from a library of artwork and/or adding personal photos or text, also was redesigned. This redesign, done in collaboration with Tervis partners Helios and Urban Canvas, allows consumers to customize using their preferred device – mobile, tablet or desktop.
“I’m very proud to be announcing the launch of a new site for such a well-known brand as Tervis,” Kevin Kennedy, founder & CEO at pdsCommerce, said in a statement. “Tervis has a large product catalog with an endless number of combinations of insulated drinkware sizes, colors, designs and accessories, but the site is well-organized, the design is fun and engaging, and functionally, it’s optimized to increase conversion.”
Said Mellisa Allen, chief technology officer at Tervis, “Our goal was to create a new site experience that was a better measure to the Tervis brand and our premium products. The new tervis.com now allows us to showcase our 70-year rich heritage throughout the site, while enabling new and returning consumers to explore and find the products and designs of their choice with greater ease. We are thrilled with the advancements and excited for our plans for further evolution.”
