Claflin Co., Philip Rizzuto honored at R.I. Free Clinic’s annual Founders’ Event

PROVIDENCE – During their annual Founders’ Event, the Rhode Island Free Clinic raised $135,000 for patient care and honored The Claflin Co. and Philip Rizzuto.

Marie Ghazal, Rhode Island Free Clinic CEO, said without the help of The Claflin Co. and Rizzuto, the organization would not be able to provide such high-quality care.

At the event, which was attended by more than 300 guests, The Claflin Co. was presented with the 2016 Founders’ Award for their decade-long philanthropic and technological support of the Rhode Island Free Clinic.

Recipient of the Dr. Steven Brin Physician of the Year Award, Rizzuto is a clinic volunteer who was instrumental in founding the organization’s ophthalmology service.
