Clean Day on the Greenway

Round out the week by pitching in for the planet. The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council’s two-day annual cleanup of the 5.5-mile Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway will be held on Thursday and Saturday. Volunteers will focus on the Providence area of the path Thursday, and the Johnston section Saturday. During both sessions, in exchange for assistance, participants will receive lunch, snacks, T-shirts and water. Tools and gloves will also be provided. Both individuals and teams are welcome. Registration is required for all volunteers.
