Clock raffle to benefit ExploreBristol

BRISTOL – In connection with the upcoming British Motorcar Festival, Michael and Brenda Gorman, owners of Gorman Clocks, are raffling an 89th anniversary edition Howard Miller clock to benefit ExploreBristol’s community programs.

Standing 85 inches vertical the clock features precision German movement with Westminster chimes, brass and silver finishes with moon phases and swan-neck pediment in an illuminated and mirrored hardwood case.

The retail value of the clock is over $2,000, however, the Gormans are selling raffle tickets for $2 each and three for $5. The tickets are available at the shop, 499 Hope St., until June 12. After then the clock will be moved to the ExploreBristol booth at the British Motor Car Festival held that weekend in Colt State Park, where tickets can also be purchased. The winning name will be drawn Saturday night, although entrants need not be in attendance to win, and transportation will be covered by Gorman clocks within three southern New England states.
