Collette donates $50K for Nepal

PAWTUCKET – Global tour operator Collette has donated $50,000 to efforts in response to last month’s earthquake in Nepal.
A $25,000 donation has been made to Plan International towards their disaster relief efforts in Nepal. Collette also is matching employees, travelers and travel partners up to $20,000 through May 14 to relief efforts. And $5,000 will be donated to Tourism Cares to aid in the rebuilding of Nepal and long-term sustainability of this iconic destination.
Collette has been a worldwide tour operator since 1918 and offers more than 160 tours to destinations on all seven continents.
“We are proud to support this fantastic organization – our donation will go directly to their efforts in Nepal, creating an impact where it is most needed and most urgent,” said Nicole Diebold, senior manager of corporate giving at Collette.
“Children are particularly vulnerable in natural disasters, and making sure that their core needs – shelter, water, healthcare, and essential protection mechanisms – are met will be among our immediate priorities,” said Plan International Nepal’s Country Director Mattias Bryneson.
