Sunday, experience the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance in a community poetry reading at the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design. During the museum’s 18th annual Langston Hughes Community Poetry Reading, audience members will listen as Hughes’ works are read aloud by members of the community. Educators, corporate executives, writers, musicians, artists and more will recite poignant, and sometimes amusing, verses and will be accompanied by the Daniel Ian Smith Jazz Trio. Following the reading, a reception will be held.
