Conservation grants offered through DOA

WARWICK – The U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service of Rhode Island is accepting applications for Conservation Innovation Grants to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. Up to $70,000 will be awarded statewide.
For fiscal 2013, the Natural Resources Conservation Service will consider pre-proposals that demonstrate the use of innovative technologies or approaches to address one of the five Rhode Island categories: program outreach; energy conservation; soil health; wildlife; and grant-project assessment.
Applications for the pre-proposals must be received in the NRCS Office in Warwick by close of business on May 24. •
