Corso joins KLR as principal, director of global tax services

Bryant University-graduate Fred Corso joins the accounting and business-consulting firm Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co. Ltd. as its new principal and director of global tax services.
KLR, at 951 North Main St., Providence, employs more than 200 people with offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and China.
Corso, who received his Master’s in taxation from Bryan University in 2007, has been advising businesses for nearly 20 years, according to a Jan. 4 press release.
“Fred brings proven leadership experience as well as a deep knowledge of the many complex challenges facing our clients in the international marketplace,” said Paul Oliveira, shareholder and director of the firm’s Tax Service Group.
The addition was announced at the same time as the firm merging with Freshman & Ferraro, P.C., which began on Jan. 1.
The firm has tasked Corso with working with the already existing personnel of U.S. businesses that are operating and expanding overseas, and foreign businesses operating in the U.S.
He will also provide international tax and business consulting services, according to the release.
“The addition of Fred Further enhances an already robust tax group, combining international tax with our existing state and local, corporate and Private Client Services,” Oliveira said.
