Council on the Arts seeks T.F. Green pieces

PROVIDENCE – The R.I. State Council on the Arts is seeking local artists to display their work in GREEN SPACE, a new visual-arts exhibition space at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick.
The deadline to apply for inclusion in the exhibitions is Nov. 30, the council said last week in a news release.
GREEN SPACE is a new exhibition space located at T.F. Green. It is a partnership between RISCA and the R.I. Airport Corporation aimed at promoting outstanding work by artists living and working in Rhode Island.
It will exhibit three group shows in 2012. Work in all media will be considered. The exhibition space includes several large walls and open spaces which the council said are “particularly well-suited to large-scale works.”
All participating artists must be Rhode Island residents. No student work will be considered.
Artists will be selected for the 2012 exhibitions by a review panel that will include practicing artists, arts professionals and community members. Artists included in the 2012 exhibitions will receive a $100 stipend for participating in the program.
To apply, artists are invited to email materials to greenspaceri@gmail.com. &#8226
