Cox Business installs Care N.E. system

PROVIDENCE – Cox Business announced Nov. 29 it completed the installation of its voice-manage phone services at Care New England.
Cox – the exclusive telecommunications provider for the health system – installed more than 1,400 phone lines and a second data network.
Care New England’s Rhode Island locations include: Women & Infants Hospital, Kent Hospital, Butler Hospital and the VNA of Care New England.
Care New England staff can use five-digit dialing to contact their business partners across the state and the Cox Business Metro Ethernet data network was added as a backup to its existing network to provide additional failover capability in the event of disaster, a new release said.
Other local healthcare organizations, such as Gateway Healthcare, Open MRI of New England and East Side Clinical Labs, have also chosen Cox Business for services including telemedicine, remote video consultations, real-time information exchange and medical imaging.
