Cox appoints two vice presidents for Northeast region

WEST WARWICK – Cox Communications has appointed two new vice presidents for its Northeast region covering Connecticut, Ohio and Rhode Island: Debra Cornish and Chuck Stauffer.
Cornish, of Mattapoisett, Mass., was named vice president of human resources, while Stauffer was named vice president of field services, overseeing hundreds of employees who deliver Cox’s products and services to residential and business customers.
“During her time with the company, Debra has consistently demonstrated the leadership qualities that will ensure the continued success of our human resources teams,” Jay Allbaugh, senior vice president and region manager, Cox Communications, said in a statement. “Our employees are our greatest asset, and I’m confident that under Debra’s management we will continue to attract and develop exemplary individuals to service our customers.”
Before she came to Cox seven years ago, Cornish was director of human resources at LifeStream Inc., a human services organization serving developmentally-delayed adults. She also was a vice president for human resources at Citizens Bank.
Allbaugh said Stauffer’s experience in the telecommunications industry, along with his experience in managing large teams of people, will benefit Cox’s Northeast operations.
“Under his leadership, our field service teams will continue to deliver the sterling customer experience that has become a hallmark of Cox’s residential and business services,” Allbaugh said.
Stauffer joins Cox from Comcast in Pittsburgh where he served as senior director of workforce operations. He also served in various positions during his 17 years with Verizon.
