Cross Insurance opens E.P. office

Posted 7/30/13

PROVIDENCE – Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp. and one of the largest independent insurance providers in New England, has opened its first Rhode Island office in East Providence.

“This new office is designed to better serve the needs of our existing Rhode Island clients, while also opening the doors wide open for new ones as well,” said Cross Insurance CEO Royce Cross. “The attractiveness of the state, coupled with the potential for further growth, made this decision an easy one.”

Ocean State native and Providence College graduate Gary Heaslip will head of the new office as president of Cross Insurance Rhode Island. Heaslip was formerly vice president and sales manager of Cross subsidiary TGA Cross in Wakefield, Mass. Heaslip will oversee Cross Insurance’s growth through new production and the acquisition of agencies in Rhode Island.
