CRANSTON – Cumberland Farms is celebrating the renovation of its latest store at 659 Reservoir Ave. on Friday.
The grand opening will begin with a public ribbon cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. It also will kick off a four-week fundraiser for Hugh B. Bain Middle School, in which 10 cents from all dispensed beverages purchased at the new location will go directly to the organization.
According to information from the Framingham, Mass.-based company, this marks the 17th remodel Cumberland Farms has done in Rhode Island. There are plans to remodel all 40 of its stores in the Ocean State. The company does not disclose how much the projects cost.
Along with a new, modern design, the store will offer hot food items.
Those who attend the grand opening event from 3 to 4 p.m. will be offered complimentary food from the new menu including pizza, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks and coffee, as well as fountain and frozen flavors from the Chill Zone.
