Customers credits growth to commitment to free checking

Posted 7/2/13

WYOMISSING, Pa. – Customers Bank is continuing to provide customers with free checking, according to a press release from the bank.

“We built our success on giving customers what they want,” said Customers Bank President of Community Banking Warren Taylor. “That why we will continue to offer free checking service options designed to meet individual customer needs.”

That approach seems to be working. Customers Bank was recently named the nation’s fastest growing bank on Bank Director magazine’s 2013 Growth Leaders Ranking.

“That kind of success doesn’t happen unless you’re keeping your customers happy,” said Taylor

“Offering a totally free checking option is part of that commitment. No minimum balance requirement. No monthly fee. No per check charges. We don’t charge you our fee for using other banks’ ATMs.”

Wyomissing, Pa.-based Customers Bank moved into the Rhode Island market with the March 29 acquisition of the regional business of Flagstar Bank. Customers Bank has regional headquarters in Providence and a second regional office in Boston.
