DD Iced Coffee Day is May 22

On Wednesday, participating Dunkin’ Donuts in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Mass., will donate $1 to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for each cup of iced coffee sold.
Since 2010, the annual fundraiser has raised $474,678 for the hospital, which has resulted in facility improvements, including the creation and production of activity books for patients and a new play area in the pediatric ambulatory clinic. Later this year, funds raised in 2012 will be put toward the renovation of the hospital’s sixth floor family room.
“We are thrilled to celebrate iced coffee season with the return of Iced Coffee Day to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital,” said Joe Prazeres, a Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee. “Thanks to our loyal and generous guests, this annual promotion has generated nearly $475,000 for the
organization, and we are excited to continue to raise money for a wonderful cause.”
Dr. Robert B. Klein, pediatrician-in-chief of Hasbro Children’s Hospital, said the hospital is grateful to Dunkin’ Donuts for the support.
