DESIGN EXPO RECEPTION

Jamestown Arts Center will host an opening reception for its Design Expo exhibit from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the center, 18 Valley St., Jamestown.

The exhibit features Rhode Island designers involved in the creative-industry sector of Rhode Island’s economy, with contributions from those involved in graphic design, fashion, furniture, yacht and product design, interior design, architecture and interactive technology.

During the reception, a number of designers will give short, informational talks, presenting their work. The reception is free and open to the public. The show will run through Friday, Feb. 8. Gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
