Why did you select your profession?
Banking chose me. … When I was 12 years old, my friends were home watching Saturday morning cartoons, I was in the [banks] Providence branch polishing brass, cleaning toilets and taking out the garbage. When I finished cleaning, I reported to the marketing department and read newspapers and publications from around the country comparing savings, CDs, and mortgage interest rates.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
There is no substitute for hard work.
What is your favorite Rhode Island escape or hobby?
My wife is from Indiana, so I enjoy exploring Rhode Island with her.
How do you keep a work-life balance?
I work hard every day knowing that I will be driving home to the most amazing and supportive woman. … Once I am home … I focus on my wife and dog, Indie. •
