David Savitz has been named vice president for research at Brown University. Savitz is currently a professor of epidemiology in the Brown School of Public Health and a professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Alpert Medical School. Savitz, who will begin his new position in September, has been with Brown since 2010. He holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology from University of Pittsburgh. •
