DeCosta joins BankRI after 18 years at Santander

PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island last week announced a banking veteran as its new vice president and marketing manager, according to a press release.
Jaime DeCosta has assumed the role and is now responsible for the bank’s advertising efforts to “promote its products and service lines, along with developing strategies and business plans that further the bank’s brand objectives,” according to the release.
Before joining Bank Rhode Island, DeCosta worked at Santander Bank N.A. for 18 years as a branch manager, training facilitator, and sales and marketing manager.
“Jaime brings to BankRI a unique banking background, having held a diverse array of branch-level and management positions,” said Steven M. Parente, senior vice president, director of retail banking, in a statement. “We’re pleased to welcome her to our team.”
DeCosta, of Warwick, holds an associates of science degree in business management and a Rhode Island license for life and health insurance, according to the release.
“As we continue to look to grow, her ability to develop strategies that strengthen our lines of service and overall profile will be an asset to both the company and our customers,” Parente added.
