Why did you select your profession?

As a teenager I was always told that anything that I baked was amazing. … Turns out, I am a fantastic baker!

Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?

Hopefully on TV. I’m working with a team of other lifestyle experts on a new television show.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?

“A smart entrepreneur should not be working more than 10 hours a week in that particular business, but yet working on the next big thing.”

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?

To enjoy and see as much of the world as possible. … Once you are married with children and own a business … the likelihood of this happening narrows some.

What is your favorite escape or hobby?

Just being silent.

How do you keep a work-life balance?

Being a business owner, I am always on the clock, and it is very hard to shut that off. [Still], I try my best to leave it there. •
