Department of Health debuts two water tools

PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Department of Health this month announced two resources to help Rhode Islanders monitor the quality of their drinking water.
The first initiative allows private well owners to create a detailed list of recommended tests for their well using the department’s new Internet-based Private Well Testing Viewer. Well owners type in their address or click at the well location, and the tool creates a list of tests specific to that location and time, based on information the system has gathered about well test results from the surrounding area.
The Private Well Testing Viewer can be accessed at https://welltesting.health.ri.gov
Also available to all Rhode Islanders is the department’s Drinking Water Watch system, an online database that contains information about public water systems in Rhode Island. It is updated daily by the Rhode Island Office of Drinking Water Quality. The Drinking Water Watch system can be accessed at https://dwq.health.ri.gov:8443/DWW/. &#8226
