Design Week kicks off Wednesday

PROVIDENCE – The third annual DESIGN WEEK RI kicks off Sept. 14 and runs through Sept. 25 for “11 Days of Design,” showcasing Rhode Island designers.
More than 35 events will be held throughout the 11-day event; the schedule can be found at designweekri.com.
This year’s keynote speaker, hosted in partnership with Rhode Island School of Design, is design strategist and 1998 RISD graduate James Wynn, vice president of business development at SYPartners. Wynn helps build partnerships, culture and experiences for SYPartners clients, bringing a background in branding and experience design with companies including Remy Martin and Porsche Design USA.

DESIGN WEEK RI is organized by DESIGNxRI in partnership with RISD, A Better World by Design, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA New England), the American Institute of Architects (AIA RI), the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA RI), and the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGAri).
