Dice: Boston’s tech-job growth No. 4

NEW YORK – Dice.com’s December report puts Boston’s percentage growth for available tech jobs at No. 4 out of 10 Top Tech Metro Areas.

The largest year-over-year increases – all 26 percent – were seen in Silicon Valley, Atlanta and Philadephia.

Boston grew 25 percent, adding 3,009 jobs according to the number of open positions on Dice.com as of Jan. 3, 2012, compared to a year earlier. There were 75,404 available tech jobs in total on the website.

The only decrease in open positions was in Washington D.C./Baltimore, which saw a 17 percent drop when compared to a year earlier.
