With at least a foot of snow, last week’s storm put a crimp in many businesses’ ability to function.
But was the effect not that large, given the fact that the blizzard fell between Christmas and New Year’s Day, a week during which many businesses are closed anyway?
It is events like this that should prompt old-line corporate mindsets to rethink their policies on allowing people to work from home. Some of the most creative, talented, experienced people are no longer interested in working from a cubicle or a corporate office. Increasing numbers of off-site workers is the wave of the future.
