On Thursday, Providence Public Library will host a book talk and signing by Richard Parker, author of “The Improbable Return of Coco Chanel,” and Chanel’s former assistant, along with a screening of the 2009 film “Coco Before Chanel” about Coco Chanel’s rise to the top of the fashion world.
