Do you support the purchase of Landmark Medical Center by a for-profit, out-of-state entity?

Posted 6/13/11

Three years after being placed under the protection of a court-appointed master, Landmark Medical Center has been bought by Boston-based Steward Health Care System for $71.6 million.

The purchase by the for-profit group, formed when Cerberus Capital Management purchased the Caritas Christi Health Care system in November, marks the first time that a Rhode Island hospital will not be owned by a nonprofit.

Do you support the purchase of Landmark by Steward?
