The exercise is mean to help the businesses, as well as all who live and work in the city, increase their ability to properly respond to emergencies, as well as to inspire other businesses to plan and drill emergency evacuation to recognized standards.

The PEMA also was holding a competition during the exercise, awarding a prize to the building that had the highest percentage of employee participation. The winning building manager and three guests will be awarded an opportunity have lunch with Mayor Angel Taveras.
