SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER – Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital; ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF CLINICAL MEDICINE – Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
AGE: 39
Why did you select your profession?
My thoughtful father is a physician and always brought this sort of grand intellectual nobility to the field. Therefore, I was drawn to it naturally and without any reservation.
Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?
Wherever it is, it will involve helping to re-establish faith in our health care system and promoting the well-being of patients and providers.
What is your favorite Rhode Island escape or hobby?
I love pausing to soak in the beautiful views in the evening from my balcony and eyeing the First Baptist Church in America.
How do you keep a work-life balance?
When necessary, I bring work home and I bring home to work.
What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?
I would have focused more on being a better mentee.
