Dr. Robert Leonard Joins Editorial Advisory Panel for Aesthetic Trends & Technologies

CRANSTON, Rhode Island (February 7, 2011) – Dr. Robert Leonard, founder and chief surgeon of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, has agreed to join the Editorial Advisory Panel for the Aesthetic Trends & Technologies journal for physicians. In this role, Dr. Leonard will provide input with upcoming articles and topics related to the aesthetic industry and help clarify industry trends in the cosmetic market. He was specifically chosen because of his leadership positions and expertise in the field of hair restoration surgery.

Aesthetic Trends & Technologies is the leading physician journal for aesthetics and wellness. This unique magazine focuses on current findings, ongoing clinical trials and frequently asked questions related to aesthetic procedures and products. It provides readers with an increased awareness of products that are useful and addresses products that might need further investigation.

Dr. Leonard has more than 24 years of experience in cosmetic surgery, serving as New England’s foremost authority on hair restoration. He is the Hair Loss Expert for Johnson & Johnson, makers of ROGAINE®, and is medically educated, trained and licensed to perform hair restoration procedures for men and women.

Raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, Dr. Leonard received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of New Hampshire and earned his medical degree at the University of New England. He is board certified and licensed to practice medicine in several states including Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida.

Dr. Leonard has served on a number of boards, including the State of Rhode Island Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline, and has held leadership positions in several societies, including President of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), Trustee of the University of New England, and Trustee of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

An avid traveler, Dr. Leonard enjoys visiting the cities and countries where he lectures on hair loss treatment and hair transplant procedures. He is an active outdoorsman in water sports and alpine skiing, and lives in Narragansett, Rhode Island with his wife and children.
