Driven to improve sales

When German car manufacturer Volkswagen encouraged East Providence’s Scott Volkswagen to move to a new location last year, the dealership didn’t fight it despite having to pay most of the cost. “We were strongly encouraged,” said C. Bradford Scott, general manager, pictured above in the new Taunton Avenue showroom that’s double the size of the old location. Similar moves and facility upgrades are happening at dealerships across the country, as manufacturers press for standardized, branded designs.
