Drug take-back day scheduled for April 28

PROVIDENCE – Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is supporting an effort to help clear homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. A statewide drug take-back day will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The following cities and towns will be participating:

  • Bristol, Bristol Police Department, 395 Metacom Ave.

  • Charlestown, Narragansett Tribal Police Department, 4375B South County Trail; and Charlestown Police Department, 4901 Old Post Rd.

  • Chepachet Glocester Police Department, 162 Chopmist Rd.

  • Coventry, Coventry Police Department, 1675 Flat River Rd.

  • Cranston. Cranston Police Department, 5 Garfield Ave.

  • Cumberland, Cumberland Police Department, 1380 Diamond Hill Rd.

  • East Greenwich, East Greenwich Police Department, 176 First Ave.

  • East Providence, East Providence Police Department, 750 Waterman Ave.

  • Hopkinton, Hopkinton Police Department, 406 Woodville Rd.

  • Johnston, Johnston Police Department, 1291 Hartford Ave.
