PROVIDENCE-BASED law firm Duffy & Sweeney contributed $1,000 to Amos House and showed its support for the organization by participating in a recent run/walk based on the running of the bulls.

During last month’s “Gored for Good” walk/run, a fundraiser and festival based on the Pamplona Running of the Bulls, more than 20 employees of Duffy & Sweeney and their family members turned out to run, walk and cheer for a good cause.
Billed as Team D&S, participants from the business law and litigation firm completed a 2-mile course through downtown Providence. The charge was led by the women of the Providence Roller Derby League, who were dressed as bulls.
Duffy and Sweeney’s founding shareholder, Bob Duffy, led Team D&S, which was able to raise more than $1,000 for Amos House. The donation included a firm contribution.
Duffy is a board member for the organization, a nonprofit social services agency that provides hospitality and direct services to the homeless and the poor of Rhode Island. Amos House works in collaboration with other agencies and groups to address issues such as hunger, homelessness and poverty.
After the run/walk, participants celebrated with an after party that featured local food, drink and live music. •
