Dunkin’ Donuts accepting scholarship applications

PROVIDENCE – Dunkin’ Donuts and the franchisees of Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts will accept applications for the 18th annual Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship Program from Jan. 28-Feb.28 for more than 110 scholarships available to high school seniors.
Dunkin’ Donuts will award a $1,000 scholarship to one college-bound member of the senior class in each high school in Rhode Island and in Bristol County, Mass., who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and community involvement.
“Since the inception of this program, the need for scholarships has grown tremendously with each passing year,” said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee, in a statement. “We are so proud to offer this initiative to our loyal guests who support us every day.”
Applications can be picked up at participating Dunkin’ Donuts locations. The program is managed by Scholarship America.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled be pursuing at least a part-time baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university, an associate degree program at an accredited junior or community college, or a certificate at an approved vocational or technical institute.
