Envision Technology launches InFlight Cloud Platform

PAWTUCKET – IT consulting and services company Envision Technology Advisors last week announced the launch of its InFlight Cloud Platform, developed in partnership with the Prov.net data-hosting center in Providence.
“We heard from many organizations that they wanted the benefits of cloud computing, but they also wanted a local option with people they knew and trusted behind the solution,” said Todd Knapp, CEO of Envision Technology. “InFlight gives our clients all the benefits of the cloud, provided by a team who knows them and their business and who takes their success personally.”
InFlight offers high availability, security, and complete management and monitoring up to the operating system, Envision Technology said. Additional services include cloud replication, reporting, and a fully managed private cloud infrastructure.
Virtual DBS Inc., a Rhode Island data analytics company among the first to begin using Envision’s InFlight platform, has seen its cloud performance increase more than 300 percent since adopting Inflight, according to Virtual DBS Chief Technology Officer Ken Stewart.
“Virtual DBS had initially been operating their own robust private cloud,” said Jeff Wilhelm, chief technology officer for Envision. “With InFlight, Virtual DBS can focus on end user support and business needs, rather than managing infrastructure.”
