Melody Ruffin Ward will lead Identity: Dance Theatre Performance this weekend as a part of the University of Rhode Island Feinstein Providence Campus’ series of Black History Month events. Ruffin-Ward is a dancer and choreographer, and has served as a professor of dance at both Rhode Island College and Roger Williams University. Identity will explore Ruffin-Ward’s identity as an African-American woman in an hour-long dance performance. Ruffin-Ward will be joined on stage by dancers from Roger Williams University as well as other guest artists.
