Extras needed for Vinny Paz film ‘Bleed for This’

LINCOLN – Extras are needed for “Bleed for This,” an upcoming feature film about Rhode Island boxing legend Vinny Paz.
The film will follow the life and career of the five-time world champion boxer born Vinny Pazienza and known as the “Pazmanian Devil” and details how he returned to the ring after a near-fatal car accident that broke his neck at the peak of his career.
Filming begins in the Ocean State next week, but on Friday, interested extras can go to the Twin River Casino’s Event Center for a chance to win 100 VIP ringside tickets to be in the boxing match scene. The ticket giveway from CES Boxing and Verdi Productions will start around 6 p.m.
On Nov. 12, 3,000 extras 18 years old and up are needed at Twin River Casino from 6 a.m. to noon and 1 to 7 p.m. for the boxing scenes. Those interested can sign up and pick the time that suits their schedule at www.BleedForThisEvent.com.
All VIP winners are required to be on set for the full 12-hour day.
Martin Scorsese is the executive producer of “Bleed for This;” the movie stars Miles Teller, Aaron Eckhart, Katey Sagal and Ciaran Hinds.
There will be food and soft drinks served during the filming on Nov. 12. Bleed for This and CES Boxing will raffle off restaurant gift certificates, flat screen televisions, Vinny Paz-signed boxing gloves, and a chance to have lunch with Vinny Paz.
If anyone is turned away due to capacity, they will be guaranteed another extra spot in the film in a fight scene at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
