FM Global continues search for IT personnel, looks to add 36 here

JOHNSTON – FM Global is creating 36 new jobs in information technology at its corporate offices here, the company said in a press release Wednesday.
The company, a business property insurer and Rhode Island’s largest private company, is seeking software engineers, business analysts and quality assurance engineers to work in three specific areas: application development, information technology security and data analytics.
The company already employs 420 IT professionals worldwide, with 360 of them based in Johnston. The 36 new positions are among more than 300 employee hires that the company has made during the last five years in Rhode Island.
FM Global employs 5,100 people in 67 offices worldwide – 1,000 of whom work in Johnston and at its Research Campus in West Glocester.
“We are not your typical insurance company,” said Jeanne Lieb, senior vice president of information services at FM Global.
“Our technology solutions play an integral part in helping to develop robust risk management programs worldwide for our clients,” she said. “As we embark on building the next generation of our operating platforms, we need savvy IT professionals who are comfortable working with leading-edge technology and have demonstrated the ability to develop enterprise-level software.”
