Fellowship Health celebrates Studio 35 Day

STAFF MEMBERS and clients at Fellowship Health Resources recently celebrated Studio 35 Day, which recognizes creative expression as a tool for recovery.

In Rhode Island and other areas along the East Coast, artists in recovery recently gathered to celebrate Fellowship Health Resources’ second annual Studio 35 Day.

Studio 35 Day is an agency-wide expressive arts event in which staff members and those they serve recognize creative expression as a tool in recovery.

The theme of this year’s event, Enhance Your Region, encouraged each of Fellowship’s nine regions to hold activities that would enrich their artistic programs and spaces. Events that took place ranged from the creation of murals to learning how to line dance.

At Westwick House in West Warwick, Fellowship staff and clients gathered together to decorate their space using chalkboard paint as a way to inspire creative interaction.

In addition, residents enlarged and framed pictures taken from the garden they had created during the summer.

“This day was truly a chance for consumers and staff alike to see how much art can enhance the places we call home,” said Amanda Connolly, Rhode Island regional practice manager
