CRANSTON – Alex and Ani LLC CEO Giovanni Feroce has left the company, according to a release issued Thursday afternoon, leaving founder and creative director Carolyn Rafaelian to assume the role of interim CEO while the board of directors conducts a search for a replacement.
The process to recruit a new CEO is expected to take several months, the jewelry retailer said.
“Alex and Ani has experienced incredible positive energy and growth since this journey began 10 years ago,” Rafaelian stated in the three-paragraph release. “Now as we seek to take the company to the next level, it is imperative we bring on board a new CEO who has experience leading a fast-growing company to the next level and who can provide the strategic direction and vision that will serve us well into the future.”
The release did not provide an explanation for Feroce’s departure, and Alex and Ani spokesman Gregg Perry said he would not comment on the matter beyond what was stated in the release.
