Dr. Christopher Dumas, left, treats a patient at the third annual Rhode Island Mission of Mercy free dental clinic held May 31 and June 1 at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Lincoln campus. More than 625 volunteers transformed the CCRI dental-hygiene clinic into a fully operational dental clinic, providing free dental services that included cleanings, X-rays, fillings, prosthetics and tooth extractions. Hosted by the Rhode Island Oral Health Foundation, the clinic was expected to treat about 1,000 patients.
