Fitch gives stable rating to R.I. CWFA

AUSTIN, Texas – Fitch Ratings this month assigned a AAA rating to $49 million in Rhode Island Clean Water Finance Agency’s water-pollution-control, revolving-fund revenue bonds. The rating outlook is stable.
According to Fitch, the bonds are scheduled to sell via negotiation the week of May 20. The proceeds will be used to fund loans, which will then be used to finance or refinance portions of the cost of certain water-pollution-control projects, fund the state matching funds and pay issuance costs.
Additionally, the ratings company affirmed $445 million in outstanding clean-water, revolving-fund-revenue bonds at AAA. •
