Bob Walsh, the former general manager of the luxury residential tower, The Residences Providence, has joined Lila Delman Real Estate International. A resident of Rhode Island for the past 15 years, he has owned properties in numerous locations, including Bristol and Providence. He responded recently to questions about his expectations at his new position.

PBN: Why did you choose to join the team at Lila Delman Real Estate International?
WALSH:
I chose to join Lila Delman Real Estate International because of the superior management style, team atmosphere, history, legacy, excellence and their highly regarded reputation in the industry.

PBN: What will be your focus at Lila Delman?
WALSH:
My focus will be to bring to the organization a high level of professionalism and a long-term commitment, and to continue to build and grow my customer base and new relationships.

PBN: What did your experience in managing The Residences teach you about what luxury buyers want?
WALSH:
Luxury buyers continue to seek out individuals and firms like Lila Delman that are highly motivated, trustworthy, well organized, detail oriented and are knowledgeable about the product that they are representing.

PBN: How did you get your start in real estate?
WALSH:
Our family home in Dover, Mass., and surrounding towns, were my inspiration to pursue the world of real estate. From mortgage and lending institutions, to working with multiple builders on new developments, my career has continued to grow and prosper.
PBN: Do you have any advice for young sales agents getting into the business post-recession?
WALSH:
The post-recession market is a great time for new agents to get on board with real estate opportunities. My advice for the young sales agents would be to utilize all the marketing and social media tools available today. Surround yourself with successful positive people. Know your product, always be on time or early, dress appropriately and most importantly, listen to your customer.
